Hi, I’m Eurydice
I’m a multidisciplinary artist and interdisciplinary educator living in California. I have MA and MFA degrees from Chapman University, where I currently teach English and Honors courses as an adjunct lecturer.
My MA thesis used the work of Mark Fisher, Jack Halberstam, and Bædan to explore the overlap of weird and queer fiction through a critical analysis of Lovecraft, the TV show Lovecraft Country, and the novel Detransition, Baby by Torrey Peters. My undergraduate Honors capstone project used natural language processing to question whether an author’s gender could be determined through stylometric analysis.
I’ve worked as a book designer for Red Hen Press in Pasadena, as a graphic designer for the Luge N Brews series of bicycle festivals in Orange County, and as an editor for various poetry journals, most recently december magazine. My written work has appeared in journals including Phantom Kangaroo, The Bookends Review, and Tab Journal.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking in the nature of Southern California, making music, and tabling at local zine fests. You can reach me at eurydicedye [at] gmail [dot] com or follow me on Instagram @ghostprincessxyz.
